A Good Time in a Good Place

Ms. Lynn Baguiwet from the Philippines, Ms. Catherine Lee from the UK, and I as well as my wife Jean Huang visited Sun Moon Lake together today.

Catherine, who came to Taiwan in January 1999, has been one of our best friends for a long time. She has been accompanying her friend Lynn every day since Lynn's arrival in Taiwan on September 7. I am quite sure that Lynn has become a "mutual friend" of ours after four of us spent this "ever-changing" day together in Sun Moon Lake.

Oh, just in a single day, we enjoyed seeing the Lake in the sun, the same Lake in the rain, and the very same Lake neither in the sun nor in the rain -- that is, when the heavy rain stopped, it became somewhat cloudy but bright enough. Yet the weather kept changing in the afternoon, changing rapidly until we left from the Lake for home. Anyway, we did have a good time in a good place!

We have become good friends now. And I can boldly tell you again, "It's good for good friends to have a good time in a good place."
